Counter turning kick after slideback footwork
Footwork as mentioned before in the importance of footwork post enables one to perform in the game and in this case to perform the combination of a footwork and a counter kick. Now after dodging the kick from the opponent, the player can apply a turning kick to score a point.
The slideback footwork allows the player to move back and once moved back, the player should kick out without hesitation and score at the flank of the opponent. Do note that it should be at the flank as the back would be a foul.
This counter technique may seems easy but it requires much training to achieve speed, accuracy and precision. Precision is the key here as the player requires the right timing and distance to score. If you slide back too much you may not be able to kick and score comfortably. It has to be so precise such that the opponent's kick just brushes across your body padding and you at the same time if possible before he/she land his/her kick, perform a turning kick to target padding and score.
