The undisputable champion

Steven Lopez is indeed US Taekwondo's pride! He has won another gold medal at the 2007 world Taekwondo Championships in Beijing, adding one more championship title to his achivement of his originally 3 world championships title and 2 olympic gold medals. Ever since 2001, he had been undefeated in any match and is recently being honoured by the U.S. Olympic Committe as its May athletes of the month.

His fourth straight world championship title also equal that of Korean legend Kook-Hyun Jeong, who is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for accomplishing the same feat. He won six straight matches to claim the 2007 title, defeating Korea’s Chang-ha Jang in sudden death overtime in the final match to claim the gold.

I guess Lopez would be getting ready to aim for his third Olympic gold medal which will also be held at Beijing in 2008.
