Accuracy
Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy! I kicked the elbows again. The first encounter wasn't a too serious one and after that i decided to put in more effort in twisting my hip to execute a turning kick to prevent further contact with the elbow. 45 front is really sometimes risky though fast. But, coach once said that, one should be able to pull back in time when you realized you are about to kick the elbow. That seems a real challenge especially when you are executing fast to score with a 45. The second encounter is the one that is more serious. After that contact, there was this numb and shock feeling on my feet which i decided to take a break. That was really a sensitive shock. But still the good thing is, after some rest, i'm still able to do the sparring event for the demo. A rather light one of course.
Intro to Hanmadang
From the last post, one can see the impressive Taekwondo demo by professional Taekwondo demostrators. There is actually a world competition for such Taekwondo demo instead of just the sparring component. This competition is known as Hanmadang and it comprises of the other aspect of Taekwondo namely, the taekwondo aerobics, breaking, poomsae and self-defense. Enjoy the introduction video of what Hanmadang is all about.
Taekwondo Demo
Taekwondo demostration, I would say, could really be a spectacular performance. Of course, it mainly depends on the practioners. Not all practioners can do the same feat. One demo team that I would like to mention about especially is the Korean Tigers. True enough, they have certainly impress many with their skills and maintain their standard of the martial art sport as the originators. Their fast and swift high flying kicks and well-coordinated execution of the techniques has brought much entertainment to their audience. Here's one video of the korean tigers for your enjoyment:
